Tinsley Time and Travel

Tinsley Time and Travel was an 18-month project in partnership with Ignite Imagination and Heeley City Farm which was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Angie Hardwick worked alongside archeologists in the first part of the project, the Bronze Age.
An Archeological Historical Art Walk took place to look at the changes in the landscape and gathering research into the area of nature, where the earliest bronze age boat was found underneath the Steelworks at Magna.
A series of workshops help develop factual information, engaging with the Tinsley community to create a public art piece. Using coloured slips and relief on ceramic tiles, we made a large-scale wall piece to be on permanent display in the library.
